1. Google Calendar Labs-Labs are new features that Google has released for you to try. You can find the Labs when you are in Google Calendar, under the 'Gear' symbol, and 'Labs.' I have found several that I love! I particularly like 'Hide morning and night' and 'Next meeting.'
2. GoogleSheets-Have you ever pasted student names into GoogleSheets and spent way too long cutting and pasting their names into two separate columns? There is a way to tell Sheets how to split your column into two! Follow the directions here to find out how. 3. iPad Parking & Charging Zone-Mary Beth has put together an iPad Parking and Charging Zone in the Library next to the color printer. This area will be used as a charging area for students before school or during lunch and as the iPad lost and found. If a student loses an iPad, please send them down to the Library so we can help track their device down. If you or a student finds an iPad, please send it down to the Library immediately (or call and we will come get it). This will help us get the iPads to the correct students as quickly as possible! Thanks, Mary Beth!

1. Shortcut-Trying to find a specific document, but don't remember what you named it? Use the space bar to do a quick look of your documents! When in a folder, click on a document and tap the space bar once. A preview of that document will appear. Use your arrow keys to quickly flip through your documents. Once you find the right one, double click anywhere on the preview to open it! This is a much faster alternative to opening up several documents!
2. New Mac Tech Website-You may remember that Aliaa had created a website for Mac last year. I 'borrowed' lots of her materials and added some of my own. I'm hoping that this will be a good place for all things Mac + Tech! You will also find all of our Tech Tips in chronological order. Here is the link. 3. Twitter Challenge-It is NOT too late to join our 12 Days of Twitter Challenge! This is a challenge built for both new and experienced Twitter users. I'm having a blast doing it and hope that you will join! Big shoutout to Shelly Kutcher, who is getting her Advisory kids involved in the process! They are excited about each of the prompts and have helped plan tweets and pictures to post! |
