1. ICE-ICE is happening this week! Follow along on Twitter by searching #ICE19. You can also find the awesome presentations on the ICE Symbaloo Dashboard. The presenters will continue to add to the dashboard throughout the week, so mark it and come back to it! 2. Schoology Help Center-Schoology just released a new feature for teachers and parents (on a computer only) that provides help articles depending on the section that you are in. For example, when you are in the Gradebook section, this tool will provide helpful articles on how to use the Gradebook features. Make sure to take a look! 3. Google Drive Search-Google has also released its new search features within Google Drive. When you click on the search bar, new options will appear to help with your search. It includes suggested searches, top collaborators, and quick access icons for the type of file you may be searching for. Below is what this new feature looks like!

Happy Tuesday! I hope you all had a wonderful 3-day weekend! Here are your Tech Tips for the week! 1. Gmail Right Click-Gmail will release an update this week (Thursday?) that will open up a whole new list of tools to be used with your right-click in your Gmail inbox. This will help speed up the time it takes you to sort through and organize your inbox. Keep an eye out for this new feature! P.S. It may require restarting Chrome. Tab hoarders, never fear! Use the 'History' tab to restore all of your closed tabs and windows! 2. Right-Click Settings-Reminder that you can find your right-click settings under the Black Apple>System Preferences>Trackpad>Secondary Click. It's most likely set to click with two fingers, but you can change it to one of the corners on the trackpad instead. Additionally, holding Control when you click normally will act as a right-click no matter what setting you have.
3. Printing Stations-We set up two computers on the island that have been designated as printing stations. These computers are intended for students who need to print an item, but the laptop lab is in use. |
