1. Flipgrid Exports-Thank you to 8th grade for this tip! In Flipgrid, you can export spreadsheets of student responses. These spreadsheets come with a wealth of information like video length, transcript, and number of posts to name a few. This can be really helpful when looking if students met the required number of posts or quickly giving you insight into student participation. 2. Gmail Search-Google has released new search options that are auto-generated when searching in your Gmail. You can click on any of the options that are auto-generated to help filter your results!

1. Flipgrid-Flipgrid had some recent updates! Two of my favorites are adjusting the playback speed when watching student videos and sorting submissions by student names! Check out all of the updates here!
2. Offline Mode-If you happen to be traveling with questionable WiFi and you have some work to do, try offline mode in any of the Google products. This mode allows you to view and edit any of your Google files without being connected to the internet! The directions are attached below. 3. Fonts in Google-If you're like me and you enjoy a good font, have you checked out all of the font options that Google has to offer? If not, head to the "More Fonts" option in a doc, slide, sheet, etc. to customize your font list. You can add and subtract the fonts that appear on your menu. 1. FlipgridAR-Flipgrid released a new feature this summer called FlipgridAR. FlipgridAR takes an ordinary method of sharing student responses via QR code to a new level through the use of Augmented Reality. Take a look at their release notes for a full tour of the feature and definitely check out the videos they've included to see what it looks like in action! 2. Google Shortcuts-Another update that Google released this summer was an improved landing page when you open a new tab in Chrome. Google has already created a few shortcut links based on how often you visit different sites, but you can remove (click on 3 dots on icon) or add (click on the plus sign) to customize the page to fit your needs. 3. Edpuzzle Live Mode-This tip comes to us from Kristen Bearwald! Edpuzzle released the Live Mode feature this summer. This mode allows you to project the video for your entire class to watch and then has the questions pop up on the student devices to answer. To learn how, take a look at their help guide!
1. Fliphunt-Flipgrid users have developed a new way to use Flipgrid called Fliphunt. A Fliphunt is a scavenger hunt that uses Flipgrid to track completed tasks. The scavenger hunt model is based on the hunts where you have to complete certain tasks to receive a set number of points. The harder the task, the more points you receive. Here is a really awesome breakdown of how you could set up a Fliphunt in your class. This teacher already created Fliphunts for a Geometry unit and a Skeletal System unit. If you're interested, let me know! I'd love to help create Fliphunts for your classrooms! 2. Thanksgiving BreakoutEDUs-Looking for an engaging activity to use with your students this week or the week before winter break? Check out a few of the pre-made BreakoutEDU digital games! They embed directly into Schoology! Login information is located on each grade level/team's TIS notes. As you browse the collection, let me know if anything catches your eye or sparks an idea! I am happy to meet to customize or create any game to fit your classroom!
3. iOS 12 & Updates-Please update your iPads to iOS12. Please also complete any updates for Schoology and Notability. 1. Flipgrid Mixtapes-Flipgrid just released the Mixtape feature! This feature allows you to curate videos from your classes/grids and share them as a view only page. This can be used for a myriad of purposes, but sharing out to parents, creating a 'best of' board, filming students receiving a Pride Paw, are all ideas that come to mind! Learn more here! 2. Quizizz-Quizizz has gone through some pretty neat updates over the last few months! Learn more here! 3. Gmail Undo Feature-Have you ever sent an email and then realized you sent it to the wrong person or forgot to attach something? Turn on Gmail's Undo Feature to help you out! Go to the Gear Symbol > Settings > General > Undo Send > Change to 30 Seconds. Now, after sending an email, you will see the following pop-up at the bottom left-hand corner of your inbox. Click Undo to pull the email back!
