1. Spam Folder-This is located under 'More' on the left-hand side of your Gmail. You should check this folder weekly in case parent emails have been filtered into it. If you find an email that should not be spam, check it's checkbox and click 'Not Spam.' This will move those emails into your inbox (they will not show up at the top of your inbox, but instead in chronological order). This will help Gmail learn what is and what is not spam. To stay organized, go ahead and delete any spam messages that are in that folder. 2. Explain Everything Collaboration-Our 8th grade Social Studies team has been working on a wonderful project with their students. The students created a presentation (GoogleSlides, Keynote, etc.) and then voice recorded over it (Explain Everything). We found that the students could record on their own iPads in Explain Everything and then upload the project file to a shared group GoogleDrive folder. Then one student could download those projects into Explain Everything and merge the pieces together into one final project. This was a great way for students to work independently and collaboratively at the same time! 3. Desktop Organization-Now that many of you have tackled the looming task of desktop organization, I'd like to introduce you to one of my favorite organization tricks. Every month, I create a new background image that is not only festive but includes spaces for my files (screenshot attached). This helps me keep my desktop clean and organized. I like to customize and change mine every month because I enjoy making my own, but I know that is not everyone's cup of tea! I've included two generic organizers that I found online in case this is something you are interested in trying. Here is a helpful guide for changing your desktop picture. If you want to find your own, try searching Google with the keywords 'organization desktop' and keep in mind that bigger picture sizes are better for your desktop. If you want to learn how to make your own, come find me! Aqua and yellow wallpapers from Moritz Fine Designs
